The crafted items below satisfy Daisy's fun and whimsical nature, but
bird carving, for her, is an all encompassing form of art with endless subject matter.  It is the outlet for her creativity and for her appreciation of nature.

Primarily self taught, Daisy availed herself of many opportunities to learn from Master Carvers.  Through the Ward Foundations' seminars in Ocean City, MD she had the good fortune to learn from some of the ourtstanding carvers of our times:  Roz Daisey, Eldridge Arnold, Pat Godin and Habbard Dean.  Many local carvers were helpful in teaching her the intricacies of carving.  The carvings of Wendell Gilley of Southwest Harbor, ME (www.wendellgilley.org), had the greatest influence on her work.

It is her pleasure to pass on the results of what she has learned.
